  Came here for a quick brunch with my mom and the food was fast and great!! However the aesthetic of the restaurant is kind of sketchy, the carpet is dirty and run down. There was a good crowd on sunday morning but we did not have to wait for a table. Server was very friendly and attentive. Would come back!!

  Dirtiest carpet I have ever seen in a public place, let alone a restaurant.  Food is just ok.  Not good enough to lure me back to the dirty carpet.

  This is a very cute, family oriented restaurant. The service was nice. Lemonade tasted a bit weird. As for the food; bacon was awesome, juicy in every bite, hashbrowns were delicious and had a good crunch. Eggs were cold and the fruit was old. Waiting time was around 30-40 mins for food. And the tables were not clean. Overall with a little fix here and there it would be a whole lot better.

  Once again.........I found a hidden gem. I'm truly not a breakfast person, I'd honestly rather wait until 11am and get a burger and some wings from somewhere. However, hubby wanted some breakfast so we decided to go here. The place was packed so we decided to get it to go. He got pancakes, scrambled eggs w/cheese and bacon. I added a side of sausage and 2 additional pancakes. Pancakes are very wide but super, duper thin like crepes so you might want to order extras if you like thicker ones. Hubs eggs were I my suppose to be 2, but it seemed like 3. There were about 5 pieces of bacon, and they give you wayyyyyyy more than enough syrup. He was pleased! I got the breakfast burrito, which were 2 breakfast burritos that you could customized. This is served with hasbrowns and salsa on the side. My burritos were 2 small flour tortillas with egg, cheese, bacon and ham. They were so loaded that it was more of a taco instead of a burrito. To top it off, I put my hasbrowns In the burritos and went to town. Everyone who worked there was very nice.  The place was super clean, and the wait time was long but worth it. We went on a Sunday, so maybe it was a heavier volume that day. Don't expect to get anything fancy, just simple and basic good food.

  Sunrise Cafe is located in what is likely a dying strip mall at 75th and Shadeland, the anchor tenant being a now closed Marsh.
  
  There is at least one other Sunrise Cafe in the greater Indy metro area at 116th/Meridian in Carmel. I have no idea if they are related.
  
  Sunrise at Shadeland is a fairly large venue for your standard breakfast food with oddly enough, a Purdue theme along the walls.  There are standard tables, booths, and a few seats at the diner counter.
  
  I arrived at around 9am on my way to the Fort Harrison State Dog Park and was promptly seated. Prices are a bit lower than other breakfast places in the general Castleton/northeast side of town. But unlike other places, there aren't 20 varieties of French Toast or 15 different omelettes to choose from. Menu is pretty basic.
  
  Coffee was hot and french toast and bacon were adequate. Service was prompt and my coffee was refilled once.
  
  It is worth noting the carpet isn't dirty, but it does look like some type of stains are there. As if they left heavy tables on the carpet for several years and then moved the tables, but the indentation is still there.
  
  Food was average, service was good. I don't think I'd go out of my way to eat here, but if you're in the area, it is probably your only real option at this specific corner of 75th/Shadeland and you'll get what you need.
